The Word of God

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, divinely inspired and without error written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.



God
We believe that there is only one living true God. The eternal triune God reveals himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.



God the Father
We believe in God the father, who is perfect in holiness, infinite in power, wisdom, forgiveness, and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayers; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.



God the Son
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary, full and complete payment in death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth.



God the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine.  He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness and of judgment.  We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, friend, and guide.



Salvation
We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice, and are therefore under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and born again.



The Church
We believe in the one true Church, a living spiritual body of which Jesus Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local Church, consisting of a fellowship of baptized believers who are committed to worship, service, and fellowship.



The Family
We believe that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime.  The husband and wife are of equal worth before God, since both are created in God's image. Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord

Our Mission at the Ridge is to love God and love people in real and concrete ways.


Our Vision at the Ridge is a family committed to transformed lives bearing each other’s burdens through a lifestyle of prayer, committed relationships, passion for people, and authentic worship.

​

  • We are committed to loving God and people by extending the Ridge family into the community through our people loving and serving outside of our walls.

  • We are committed not to a tactic, or strategy but transformation through a culture of service, not serve us, lived out in our community.

  • We are committed to loving God and people by creating a safe environment where Jesus is modeled in our Nursery, Preschool, Rock Climbers and THRIVE Youth Group.

  • We are committed to expository teaching of the Word of God because there are no short cuts in spiritual growth.

  • We are committed to making the tough decisions required to love God and people in real and concrete ways we hold each other accountable.

  • We are committed to a safe, grace-extending environment where risks can be taken, dreams shared, and lives transformed.

  • We are committed to live out the unity of the church in our community we will celebrate what God is doing in other churches rather than criticizing other churches.

  • We are committed to work side by side with other like-minded churches in our community in order to serve our community and advance the Kingdom.
